‘Don’t Let Me Die’ by Andrei Epure enters post-production

We have an exciting update for the upcoming project by Andrei Epure, titled Don’t Let Me Die (Nu ma lasa sa mor). The feature film has already entered its post-production stage and is bound to be completed by the end of the year.

Filming was completed within 26 days during February/March 2024, mostly set at the Romanian Black Sea.

Don’t Let Me Die, Epure’s feature film directorial debut, was among the SEE Cinema Network 2023 Funding Round recipients.

SEE Cinema Network wants to congratulate the team for its efficient work and wishes all the best for its remaining steps towards international distribution.

Embryo Larva Butterfly receives 4 nominations at Iris Awards 2024

Embryo Larva Butterfly, a film proudly supported by SEE Cinema Network, is a 4-time nominee at this year’s Iris Awards organized by the Hellenc Film Academy.

The Network wants to sincerely congratulate everyone involved in the making of the film and helping achieve great recognition in various fields, as observed in its nominations and wins in various events, including the very prestigious Iris Awards.

The film is nominated in the following categories:

  • Best Makeup, Hairstyling & Visual Effects Design (George Alahouzos)
  • Best Sound (Costas Fylaktidis, Christos Kyriakoulis)
  • Best Editing (Giannis Halkiadakis)

The awards ceremony will take place on June 26 in Athens.

SEE Cinema Network at the 5th Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days (19 April 2024)

Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days 2024 is the co-production, training and networking platform of the 22nd Cyprus Film Days International Film Festival. The 5th edition of Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days will be held between 18–20 April 2024 in the sunny city of Limassol, Cyprus.

SEE Cinema Network will be there. Come join us this Friday, April 19 at at Rialto Theatre for a panel discussion around the strengthening of the South Eastern European film industry through regional collaboration. Our team is more than excited to present you the benefits of funding support from SEE Cinema Network as well as answer all of your questions.

We want to sincerely thank the festival team for the invitation and we cannot wait to experience firsthand the many networking opprtunities this year’s edition has in store!

Also, among the 8 projects selected to participate in the pitching sessions of the co-production forum, Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point, we can find Four Funerals and a Wedding, our Montenegrin funding recipient of the 2023 Round. The project is directed by Nikola Mijovic and produced by Maja Kecojevic (co-producers: Pavle Vuckovic, Stefan Mladenovic, Vladimir Anastasov and Angela Nestorovska). Production companies: Parangal Film, Plan 9, Sektor Film.

Embryo Larva Butterfly wins at the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival

Embryo Larva Butterfly won 2 awards at the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, as it was announced yesterday during the award ceremony. The film is supported by SEE Cinema Network.

Embryo Larva Butterfly received distinctions in the following categories:

SEE Cinema Network announces its 2023 Funding Round recipients

During 36th General Assembly on November 8th in Thessaloniki, coinciding with the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, SEE Cinema Network unveiled a total funding of €63,000 for its 2023 Funding Round candidates. The selected projects were announced officially during the Agora Awards of the Festival.

Each awarded project will receive 9000€ in funding for its development purposes.
