‘Yiannis’ by Kyros Papavassiliou selected for funding through HFAC

Yiannis was awarded 150.000€ through the Co-Prpoduction Window program of the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (HFAC).

Great news for YIANNIS, the Cypriot awardee of the 2024 Funding Round of SEE Cinema Network: The project has secured an additional funding of 150.000€ for its production purposes, through the CO-PRODUCTION WINDOW programme of the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (HFAC), activated through the Recovery and Resiliency Facility.

The programme aims to support the production of short and feature films (fiction, documentaries, animation) in co-production with foreign (non-Greek) producers. It also aims to create synergies with European production that will accelerate the employment and involvement of national (Greek) artists and technicians, as well as attract foreign capital to the national (Greek) audiovisual industry. It is mainly aimed at the minority participation, in an international co-production, of a producer established in Greece, without excluding the reverse.

Congratulations are in order for producing company Drytree Films and Graal Films, the Greek co-producer, for the selection of the project. Our Network wishes good luck and great success in the film’s completion and release in the near future!
